Commander Clash Live: Ixalan (Part 1)

p>Hello and welcome to Commander Clash, a video series where several MTGGoldfish contributors battle in a four player Commander game for fun and bragging rights. As you probably know, we're between seasons at the moment, so I wanted to take a minute to let you know what the next few weeks will look like. First, today and next Friday we'll have video from the Commander Clash Live stream we had a few days ago. This week we'll be showing of sweet new Ixalan Commander, then we'll follow up next week with an anything goes match along with an epic four player game of Momir! After that we'll return to normal, with season four (featuring the return of Richard) kicking off on Friday October 13th!

Anyway, back to this week. Each member of the deck built around a new mythic legend from Ixalan, which left us with an interesting mix of tribal and commander-centered decks. Here's what we ended up with:

  • Tom goes stompy with a bunch of Dinosaurs, headlined by the trampling Gishath, Sun's Avatar
  • Jennifer looks to go wide and draw a bunch of cards with Tishana, Voice of Thunder
  • Seth to get shifty with life total in a deck build around Vona, Butcher of Magan
  • Tomer promises to go Pirate pun-free, even though he's playing Pirate tribal lead by Admril Beckett Brass

How do the new legends from Ixalan work in practice? Let's get to the video and find out!

But first, a quick reminder: if you like Commander Clash and other video content here on MTGGoldfish, make sure to subscribe to the MTGGoldfish Youtube Channel to keep up with the latest and greatest.
