Single Scoop: Friday Night Arclights (Historic, Magic Arena)
Gameplan
Its the classic Arclight Phoenix but now with Faithless Looting, Brainstorm, and Prismari Command!
The deck was always a crowd favorite but lacked a ton of ways to draw a silly amount of cards for cheap. Ontop of that, it lacked powerful ways that drew cards and allowed us to discard for cheap. With Faithless Looting, we now have the ability to do both of those things for one mana or for three mana if we're looking to flash it back. Of course we also have Brainstorm as a way to dig deeper into our deck to find more ways to "pop off". Lastly, we got Prismari Command which is a powerful spell in our deck as its ability to help us loot at instant speed while having three other valuable modes. Shattering an artifact in best of one is great as there are tons of Grafdigger's Cage running around in the meta.
Conclusion
The fact that the deck is able to play two of the best one-mana spells in historic is a huge plus. My only issue is that we don't have something like Izzet Charm or any ways to counter a game ending spell. This is the deck's biggest blind spot. If this were Bo3, we could easily pack more counterspells outside of the sideboard but in best of one, I could see us playing something as simple as a few copies of Memory Lapse just to buy us the time we need. Otherwise, the deck felt pretty smooth and I'd probably say the deck is a solid tier 1.5. Rejoice phoenix lovers, Arclight is pretty solid at the moment!
